Kasaragod is a coastal district located in the northernmost part of the Indian state of Kerala, bordering the state of Karnataka. The district has a diverse culture influenced by both Kerala and Karnataka. Kasaragod is known for its picturesque beaches, historical forts, and temples. The district is home to the largest and the only naturally formed backwater estuary in Kerala, the Valiyaparamba Backwaters.
