Reaching Kerala by air is now easier than ever before with its four airports: Trivandrum International Airport, Cochin International Airport, Karipur Airport (in Kozhikode) and the newly inaugurated Kannur Airport. All the airports have both domestic and international flights, with direct and one-stop flights from major cities in India, as well as many smaller towns.

Trivandrum International Airport is the oldest, located 3.7 km away from the city centre. It is ideal for visiting coastal landmarks like Varkala and Kovalam Beaches, as well as hill stations like Ponmudi. While Cochin International Airport is the busiest, and runs on solar power. This airport has plenty of direct and one-stop flights from all over the country. 

Karipur Airport in Kozhikode has two terminals, for domestic and international flights. It’s a great base for exploring nearby places like Beypore and Wayanad. Lastly, Kannur Airport is the most recent addition to the list and is perfect for visiting Thallasery, Bekal Fort and Payyambalam Beach.
