Muttum Viliyum
Muttum Viliyum, an orchestra popular among Muslim community of Kerala, is a confluence of three musical instruments. Also known by the name Cheenimuttu, this art form is traditionally played by groups, who go out to collect charitable donations from the neigbourhoods.
The musical instruments used for Muttum Vilyum are Kuzhal, a traditional wind instrument, chenda and cheriya chenda, two types of traditional percussion instruments.
The art form has some resemblances with the Panchavadyam – the traditional orchestra of Kerala.
